Maintenance to assure a long working life:

Alaveil scissors, unlike ordinary scissors, are finished to same degree as precision machinery; therefore, careful handling and daily care are necessary.

 

Handling precautions:

Never loosen the core screw (use the scissors in such a way that the handle won’t go down unless you lightly depress with hand).

Handle with care. Never stack scissors on top of one another, never insert them point into a holder, and never slam them down on a hard surface.

Breaking in:

Initially, use the Alaveil scissors to cut the soft hair of 15 to 20 customers to break them in gently. For repairs, always contact our company. If your Alaveil scissors are damaged by coming into contact with a comb or being dropped, send them as is to our sales agent or company. In addition, Alaveil scissors may become dulled or frequently clogged with hair depending on the person using them. In such case, your Alaveil scissors can be adjusted to best suit the user as part of our after-sales service. Finally, we recommend that you send your Alaveil scissors to our company for periodic inspection at least once a year.

Cost of Repairs:

The repair of damage caused by careless use may be charged in some cases. The amount charged will vary depending on the type of scissors and the degree of the damage.

 

Cost Effective Too:

Compared with conventional scissors, Alaveil scissors may be a bit more expensive to purchase because of their higher quality, but if used properly, they will last a lifetime. For instance, if used eight hours a day, they would soon pay for themselves, including maintenance charges. Secret of easy movement and sharpness revolutionary design of the contact point:

The sharpness of scissors is determined by the degree of finish of the contact point where the two blades should be perfectly matched. Conventional scissors are contradictory: if the screw is tightened, they become sharper but also stiffer, tiring the hand. Conversely, if the screw is loosened, sharpness is reduced. With Alaveil scissors, if the screw at the contact points loosened, sharpness is reduced. With Alaveil scissors, if the screw at the contact point is loosened and removed, you will see a circular packing set between the two blades. Look carefully at the hollow in the scissors where this packing is placed. This hollow is not of uniform depth: it is deeper on the blade side than on the handle side. For this re4ason, the force is naturally led to the blade tip along with the screw as the scissors are opened and closed. This packing rotates freely to follow the movement of the scissors, so it also serves as a buffer at the same time as it keeps the contact point fixed. In other words, Alaveil scissors are an innovation in scissors technology offering the dual features of easy movement yet constant sharpness because we have improved on the mechanism of conventional scissors by developing a flexible contact point.

Longest lasting sharpness:

Our scissors are naturally sharper longer because the two blades are lapped with each other, so the original sharpness is maintained. In other words, they are finally tuned every day as they are being used.

Perfect fit in hand, fingers never get tired:

A slight movement of the thumb produces a substantial response from the grip to the blade tip without having to apply any unnecessary pressure. Because a particularly light touch is felt in the range if 45 degrees or less, your thumb feels no resistance and at all and your hand won’t tire even after many hours of cutting.
